Visitors! First, Ashama and John kutta….

We felt so loved with all our recent visitors- Asha & John, at the end of January, Chris’ friends from Florida the week before valentines day, and Maryann & Rian the weekend after valentines day.

January 28, 2012 First, lets start with Ashama and John...
We had a lot of fun with Asha mol and John mon.  It was John’s first time to our house, so we felt extra special.  Although Asha has been to the house a million times now, we always get lazy and become home-bodies during her visit.  This time – we made sure to do some sightseeing!  We picked them up Saturday morning and headed straight to Pancake Pantry.  This old restaurant, opened in 1961, is a hot spot-  on a good day, you may only need to wait 30-40 minutes outside to get in!

This part was so funny- Ashama got a "crash course" in Naveenie feeding! She learned quickly that this boy meant busy when it was time to eat!  She learned that you have to have a good shoveling method down or he will let you know that he is unhappy!

After we filled our tummies, we went downtown to show them the “honky tonk” or country singing locations.  We walked on the pedestrian bridge to see the Titans Stadium.

Next, we visited the Parthenon and showed them Centennial Park (where we took our maternity pictures).  Last but not least, we took them to an old soda shop, Elliston soda shop, for some amazing burgers and milkshakes!   As stated by NashvilleScene, the soda shop is a "a favorite over the years of tourists, nostalgic locals and broke musicians, the diner has been a fixture of Elliston Place since at least 1939."

Boy we were stuffed and pooped!  Naveen was so good through all this- it was definitely a big day for him.
We were easy going the rest of the weekend because they really just wanted to chill at home and spend time with Naveen.  We had an awesome time playing the Kinect with Asha and John!  It was so fun!

John was so sweet to bring gifts for Naveen…he bought him a cute hat, which Naveen gets compliments for every-time he wears it!

He also got a great toy, which he will love when he gets older.  If that was not enough, Asha and John sent us a Babies R Us and Carabba's giftcard as a “thank you.”  Not only that, John sent us a Kinect game that Chris really wanted!

Silly kids, huh?  There was no need for thank yous because we absolutely love that they want to come see us and help take such great care of our Naveen.  I am so happy that over the past couple years, I have become so much closer to the Augustine kids.  We have always been close just because our parents made it a point to see each other when we were young...but, as we grew older, we let that relationship slip.  I am so happy that we have it back.  I really feel like an older sister to Asha and Maryann – so it is very exciting to gain little sisters at this age!
